I decided to leave the car at home and do the weekly food shop by bike. I made a list first so I would only be carrying what I really needed and lists cuts down costs. The Brompton pannier carried everything I needed including flowers on the front. I didn’t have any problem with the hills on the way back, (I thought I would), but I was slowed down by cross winds coming back along Charlton Park.

Getting really fit
After missing cycle training yesterday due to rain I got up really early and cycled to the Dome and back, managing Westcombe Hill with relative ease and past Charlton Park. It’s taken about three months but I got enough strength and stamina to get about the area and up and down hills. I discovered that resting is just as important and pushing yourself to do more.

Back on the bike
After a short break I had a weekend of bike riding. Yesterday I went back to Cycle training and we cycled from Woolwich to Erith. and today I took the bike on the train and then cycled to Whitechapel. I am becoming fearless. I was able to cycle around the large one way multi-lane system at Algate.
It is getting warmer so I was in my old Nike Air Rifts plus new linen skirt from H&M.
