Cycling at sunset

Despite the return of the sun we had a cold day in London today. I had to get out the boots and fur coat this evening for a cycle by the Thames. I have come back from holiday to lots of work and I just felt the need to clear my head with a ride by the river to the Dome. I didn’t see any cyclists but there were plenty of runners. I like this time of the year when the sun doesn’t go down until 9 pm.

Try Scotland in June or July. In about a week from now it will not get officially dark until August. In the very north you can read a paper out doors all night and play golf 24 hrs a day if you want to. When I used to commute to London I found the difference was quite striking.

Unfortunately we often spend a week or two of July in England.

You can get free software here to show the sunset/sunrise times:

Very pretty picture. Glad to see that you're enjoying the summer nights. Although you were brave to step outside with a fur-jacket.

Good on you!

What a good picture. I live in Cumbria but have brought my Brompton down to London a few times when I have been down on business. I was interested on your video of the Oxford Street roadworks. Last time I was in London it was very scary along there.
