Hot day in the city

Apparently the temperature hit the 80s today in London. I had a formal work appointment in East Croydon so I was cycling in the sun this afternoon as well as using the train. There was a problem with the rail signals which brought all trains to a stop and I fell asleep for 30 minutes with the Brompton at my feet.

Has the Brompton taken a ride on the new East London line yet? Participating south-east stations were giving way hundreds of free daily 1-6 Travelcards last Sunday. 800 were given out at Forest Hill, and a 1000 given out at Sydenham. Boris must have had a long lunch before agreeing to that.

The East London Line was closed for so long I thought is was permanent. I heard about the reopening on Friday. Now I in Greenwich I am no longer on that route although I often have to go to Shoreditch. I wonder if the bike policy is like the DLR, folding bikes only.

The Overground bike Policy appears to apply to the East London line ie folding bicycles can be carried free of charge on any London Overground services at any time, but restrictions on non-folders during peak hours.
