I had a long journey home tonight. I left Tottenham at 8pm only to arrive at Charing Cross Station at 8.40pm just as an incident had occurred at Waterloo East and the whole network had come to a stop So I unfolded the Brompton and cycled around the corner to Westminster tube station. Jumped onto the Jubilee tube and went home via North Greenwich. When I got out the Dome, now known as The O2 Dome was awash with lights. It then took me 35 minutes on the bike to get home.
In March I would have done the same journey but I would have taken twice as long, been afraid of cycling at night and given myself sore legs and knees.
