I got out the Brompton today. The last week has brought 20 mph limits and bus lanes across major roads and everyone is sitting in traffic. I was angry not because of the idea but because I am only in the car because of the pandemic. Prior to March 24th, I took public transport just about everywhere. I don’t want to get back onto public transport particularly as we are now at the start of the second wave in infections. So it is the bike for local journeys, except for the weekly shop when I will use the car and for longer journeys for now. I forgot to check tyres before I left and they were soft. I took the train to Charlton and then cycled around to the shops to return a coat. Discovered that the BP garage does not have a tyre pump.
