Extreme weather has mainly kept me off the Brompton over the past couple weeks. First it was too hot to cycle and then we had heavy rain. My Tuesday bike ride to my life drawing class was the exception to my cycling hiatus. Cycling in rush hour through the City is great as I feel part of a big mobile club. There are now many more Londoners on their bikes and I am not including those on the hire bikes. Makes me want to join
Critical Mass.

Unfortunately it wasn't as an enjoyable experience as I hoped it would be. I saw more antagonism between cyclists and cars in half an hour than I have in a couple of years. Cars (especially black cabs) were getting very annoyed at having a large group of cyclists riding through London, taking up the full width of the road, delaying their journey with no consideration that they were holding up traffic.It certainly wasn't a great PR exercise.
Maybe I caught it on a bad night.
